Subject: Help!! Gauge install problems

I just installed my new reverse indiglo speed guage face and it looks awesome. The only problem is that when the vehicle is turned off the Oil,Fuel, and Temp needles fall way below where they are supposed to go. I know how much gas is in the tank and when i turn the ignition on all the needle go to the correct locations on the guages. Any Ideas? i believe i set them back in place exactly after installing the face. I took pictures with a digital camera of the exact location fo each needle before.. and then matched it when i put them back on. And now when the truck is turned off the needle slowly sag down to the left and then keep sagging probably 1/8 of a circle below where i would expect them to be.

Could someone with a stock gauge 2000 RC 3.9 auto take a picture of their gauges with the engine running but NOT after driving for a while? I am thinking if i try to copy the placement of the Oil, Temp, Etc guages then it would restore it. Any ideas? comments suggestions?

Sorry I can't help you.
But I was contemplating on getting these myself (when they come out with them) now is there any difference between stock and the r-indeglo when the lights are on at night (I'm referring to the numbers)

Can you post some pics??

Here is a link to a pic of the guages i just installed. It says for 97-99 but mine is a 2000 and the gauge was almost identical to my stock one. it really looks killer at nite. I almost had to sleep in the truck last night just to fully enjoy it..... oops did i say that out loud?

i got it on ebay from procarparts.

Hey Lizardking, did you ever figure out the problem? I have the same gauges and my oil temp needle does the same thing.

If your needles sag like they're spinning on the needle, they're not pushed down on the pins far enough.

If they hang like they're getting caught on something, you pushed them down too far.

Thanks SinCity, that solved the problem. I didn't have that one pushed in far enough.

I had the same problems with the white template lineing up. I just taped the two togeather as best as I could. Well I was working with installing the dimer for the color and turned it up to max it the backlight shut off. It will no longer turn on. I checked the in-line fuse and it tested ok. I checked the wiring it's solid. I checked all factory fuses and they are ok. Anyone have any idea's?
Thanks
Travis
