Message: I purchased and had the BF KO'S installed on my Dak 4x4 2002 quad cab today, I went with the 265x70x16 size. I really like them and I noticed a major ride improvement in how it drives and corners, steering is better also. well worth the money, and they are 8 ply tire compared to the crappy badyears 4 ply that came on the truck. I run 55 PSI in tires, they put in 60 psi with max load is 65 PSI.

Message: Do you think you could have fit the 275/70R16 size on your truck without rubbing ?

Message: 55 PSI?? Are you deliberately trying to wear out the center of the tread? That max load of 65 PSI is not meant to be the normal inflation pressure... I see you are running 55 PSI, which should still only be used under a load. I wouldn't go past 40 PSI max if I was concerned at all about the life of the tire... I run 35 PSI on 31x10.50's and that's about right. Running 55 PSI cold can cause some serious hazards once the tire gets heated up... even if it is an 8-ply it can still blow out. At that pressure, the sidewalls are so stiff that rubbing a curb too hard will blow the tire out as it doesn't have any 'give' to it as it would at a normal inflation pressure. I would be really concerned with the safety hazards, plus I wouldn't want to buy new feet for my truck every 20k miles.

Message: I looked hard at the 275 size, but it looked like it would rub some when wheel would be turned. I am happy with the 265 size, i will try 40 PSI and see how it rides.
