Give me until Mon and I will have pics of my R/T wheels. I just picked them up from the powder coating place last night. I had them done in a dark grey, "Gunmetal grey." SO far they look badass.

i'd appreciate it...i'm thinking black migh be too dark. i was thinking gunmetal or the new "XST" grey might look cool. what did you do (if anything) to the centercaps?

I never had the center caps to begin with, so that wasn't a concern. I only paid $110 for ALL 4 wheels to be coated. Thats here locally where I live In Jacksonville FL. Another member of my club and I got a deal, we brought them 8 wheels total to coat. Heres a pic of his truck, I know its a FERD, and has cobra wheels, but it gives you an idea of what mine will look like. They were done in the exact same color.

They look darker in the day and lighter at night. Kinda weird.

exactly what I have been looking for, nobody
has powdercoated wheels anymore, I think
they look bad@ss on black trucks. thanx for
the info.
$110 for all 4 wheels is cheap, I just have to
find a shop that will do it, I heard it was a lot
more expensive than painting wheels.

I'm thinking of having my 16X8 stock rims powder coated that same grey color! My truck is graphite,,and I think if they matched it that it would look pretty sweet.
Luckily there's a place just around the corner.

Check my truck out. 2001 Motorsport Dak, black powder coated 16X8.. I love them, esspecially cause of brake dust. The only thing that sucks is the bold yellow lettering on the tires.. Planning on getting the R/T's next summer and having them powdercoated black. They clean up nice though. Just keep them waxed and they will look good as hell.

Just an FYI KEYSTONE AND AMERICAN RACING WHEELS BOTH STILL HAVE A CUSTOM WHEEL THAT IS BLACK POWDERCOATED FINISH. I THINK KEYSTONE'S IS A 16" AND ARW IS A 15".

the nascar motorsports trucks have the black wheels but just price a set of them.... $200 option when you order your truck probably 10x that aftermarket.

$200 option for the motorsport package?? no.. I paid $1250! I beleive for the Dak's, the package was anywhere from $850 to $1250, and they also have the packe on a few neons, and interpids.. which are a less costly package.
