Subject: Clear Corners- white is good in Ontario IP: Logged
Message: http://192.75.156.68/DBLaws/Statutes/English/90h08_e.htm
Checked out the Ontario Traffic Act. and PART VI
EQUIPMENT states:
Lamps required on all motor vehicles except motorcycles
62. (1) When on a highway at any time from one-half hour before sunset to one-half hour after sunrise and at any other time when, due to insufficient light or unfavourable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 150 metres or less, every motor vehicle other than a motorcycle shall carry three lighted lamps in a conspicuous position, one on each side of the front of the vehicle which shall display a white or amber light only, and one on the rear of the vehicle which shall display a red light only.
Just thought this info might be useful to someone.

Message: Thanks!
Someone else confirmed this recently. I'm going to
take the two amber bulbs out of my corner lenses,
and replace them with white. I think it will look
much nicer.

Message: I guess so, that is what I did. I replaced the small corner bulb and one of the larger with amber because I thought we had to by law. Fortunately, I saved the originals, so they are going back in.

Message: Is it just me or does the one on the drivers side not fit as good as the one on the passanger side?
Thanks

Message: Mine fit okay, but I found that there was not a lot of slack in the wiring. I pulled up any slack in the engine bay to push through the headlight opening and give myself more leeway to work with. The only problem I ran into is that the bulb housing had 4 tabs that fit into 4 openings on the OEM part. The new part had only two openings. I used a pair of nippers to clip off the extra tabs, and the lights slid into the new part perfectly.

Message: ya i know what u mean about no slack! Id hate to ever have to change a bulb. just for some reason tho it just doesnt fit as nice as the passangerside one. Ive tried adjusting it a few times now but it just sticks out a bit. No big deal tho. They look great!!
