Does any one know if there are any good qulaity CD players that fit the 2001 oversized dash? I know they make adaptor plates for a single DIN CD player but don't want to waste the space if possible

Check crutchfield.com. They have like two models that are 1.5 DIN. If you want anything decent, you're stuck with a 1 DIN unit and an adapter plate.

You could also stick a .5 DIN EQ in there as well...
