Subject: Removing Bug Deflector Safely IP: Logged
Message: How do i go about getting my bug deflector off. I thought i'd get used to it, but now i've decieded to scrap the money i wasted on it, and take it off. I want to remove it safely without all the paint coming off from underneath.

Message: To get the sticky strips off I just used a pocket knife. Didn't have any problems with it.

Message: I've heard using dentil floss, running it underneath, and then using something like Goo Gone to remove the little bit of "stickyness" left behind. Then just give it a good wash and wash.

Message: soaking the sticky tape with mineral spirits/paint thinner will loosen up the glue. Use it on a rag to wipe off the remaining goo. This is much safer than using Goof-Off or Goo-gone. Just make sure you wax the areas you clean after you are finished. Good luck.
