Message: Nah its not the Mask headlight covers. I know what those look like and where u can get them from, but if u look on the Cirvinis website, look at the headlights... its like High Beams/headlights/blinker one peice conversion. Ive seen it on a red Dakota while searching the web but never thought anything of it. Does anyone know where to get them??

Message: I also been looking for the Projector conversion kit. I just got emailed from auto-motorsport.com and demandmotorsport.com. They say that nobody ever design the conversion for the Durango. So I guess we Durango owner just have to convert to the HID system or use the fake HID bulbs. Figure this out, the make the Projector Conversion Kit the Dodge Neon. GO FIGURE!!!!!!

Message: Well guess what guys. I got off the phone with Cervinis. Took freakin' long enough. I was told that the headlights are not and option with the kit. They will not be making them. :( Why draw it if your not gonna make it? Cervinis is known for not making what they say though. I'm looking into custom building some for the dak. Kinda like BMW's. Light's under plexiglass. Made a set for my old 94 Ford Probe GT out of PIAA Driving lights and some plexiglass. I'll keep everyone updated. Gotta see if it's cost effective and possible. For me at least.

Message: Well I got the assemblies from the junk yard, I having a hard time finding lights that fit into the unit. I have the diagram for the Hi & low beams for the Durango, I have to split the wire to separate the hi & low circuits. Have to use two bulds for each unit for the Hi & Low beams. The other hard part is align the light beams. I know I can adjust with the alignment screws, but when I insert the lights in the unit is where I will have the problem. Any ideas on who to do that?

Message: Well guys I tried, but didn't work. BUT, I found a company that is willing to do the job.
He is requiring some designs for the headlamps. I CAN NOT use the one on Cervini's website, if I do and he make them, we both can get sued by Cervini's for using there designs without there authorization. When he gets my designs it would have to meet DOT requirements for headlamp for SUV. So I have to be opening minded. I have drawn up a few but, I think some of them would not meet DOT requirement. So I had to scrap some. I guess that is why Cervinis didn't produce that headlamp conversion. SO to make a long story shorter. When the design get approved by DOT, which can take up to 6 months to an year. It would take him another 6 months to a year to make them, depending on how many and the amount he is going to charge for each unit. He also gave me a price tag of $50,000 to $75,000, for the plastic, lens, and computer stuff to make the unit. We didn't even get into the actually light itself, I am going to call PIAA and HELLA to see what they can do. Again keep you guys posted.

Message: I emailed the Owner of APC, heres what i wrote:
"Hello Mr. Horowitz, my name is Robert Kretsch and im writing in hopes that your company will take action on my following question. I own a 2000 Dodge Dakota and myself as well as many many many others with this same style headlights wanted to know if it is possible for your company to make a set of projector style headlights for our trucks. I am part of two Dodge Dakota Online Community Clubs and many upon many members of both clubs really want these headlights. We have all came to the conclusion that your company will be our best bet for any hope of these headlights to hit the market. Your company already has the Diamond Clear Corners for our trucks and what better match up to those corners than a set of headlights to match them.
Thank you for taking the time to read over my email. Your reply would greatly be appreciated.
Dodge Dakota owner,
Robert Kretsch"
Ill post his reply... if he does.
heres his email.... Flood it up with GOOD emails. This is our best bet for these headlights fellas.

Message: Instead of beating our heads against the ground in relation to the lack of support by manufacturers to produce the right product (projection headlamps) Has anyone looked at what is currently produced for ANY manufacturer and seen what mods may be done to make this work? I'd be interested in hearing anything. There has to be one unit either domestic or import that is close, maybe requiring that the OE corning light receive a shaving to make it fit. Please get back to me if you come up with anything and good luck. Mine is a 2002-03 Durango. I've got the altezza's and the mass air induction as well as the helix. Ordered up the Jet Chip but didn't fit as 1/2 through 02 the cpu changed. I've read that the jet chip lacks the snap worthy of $300.

Message: Firstly, that you for the input on the headlamps. This message is for all of you that share the same facination that I do with my vehicle. I have searched the procarparts.com site but was unable to find the clear headlamps. I, as everyone else, am definately more interested in the projector style. My Durango, which I purchased for my wife, is my outlet. We've installed twin Sony 7" screens and a crystal clear sound system with the 5.1 the only missing option. I have gone to a helix and cold air intake for performance, but thanks to all of the feedback that I've read in your comments, sent back the Jet Chip unopened in the box. I have read so many conflicting reports on what works and what doesn't that I would like some seat of the pants opinions which only owners such as you would have. I have seen the dual short throw intake which does look good, but functional?! I also like the look of the ram air hood but does it make that much difference. Should I be investing in pulleys or different injectors. What exhaust? I've heard that you should mess with the stock one? I'd love to hear some feedback.
Thanks again for everything..... Chris Pearson

Message: In addition to an earlier posting. This is a message that I sent to APC directly.
I was reading through a forum on Projector style headlamps for Durango type vehicle and it was suggested that I contact you. I am a Commercial Account Manager for Kal Tire in Canada. We currently own, non francise, approx 200 locations in Western Canada and are the #1 tire store in Canada, #7 in North America. Our focus has primarily been commercial but we are seeing a definate trend to retail and specifically the tuner market as we have now invested in having customer wheels manufactured for us. My interest is definately personal as the Durango is the choice that I made when purchasing a vehicle for my wife and my hockey playing children. I am most interested in the projection style lighting as the younger members of our local stores feel that they are far more effective. Please provide me with any information that you may have in regards to this issue along with information that we may find useful in setting up a business relationship with you. My direct line is 250-309-4355 and work email is chris_pearson@kaltire.com. The hotmail address is effective in that I receive it anywhere. I would welcome an opportunity to talk with you and apologize in advance if you find spelling mistakes in my letter to you as my job does not consist of formating letters.
Thanks in advance. Chris Pearson
