Subject: Anyone w/ led light hooked to alarm? IP: Logged
Message: Hey, I have seen these cars with these LED lights strobing when their alarm system is activated. It takes the place of the single solid LED. Anyone know anything about them?

those are usually optional when you purchase an alarm. I used to install alarms and only had a chance to put one in( not many requests for them back then). It required 12v power instead of running off the std led lead. Some are a bit tricky to install if you are not familiar w/ alarms.
They make alot of different kinds. Contact an independent shop(rather than a national chain)and I'm sure they'll be able to offer you what your looking for.

Message: Thanks LoneStar,
Ill look into that. I think I know a good shop to go to. Did those lights use alot of energy running all the time while you alternator isnt? I dont want to run my battery down. Thanks again. Have a nice Sunday.

Those lights don't draw much power, so you should be fine.Look at it this way, the more lights it has and the more visual effects it has can draw more or less power. Just a matter of design. Ths shop tech should know what they'll do. Good Luck!
