I know everyone loves their Dakotas to death and most people get a lot of pleasure from detailing the trucks themselves, but I was wondering if anyone has every used a detail service? If so, were you satisfied and how much did you pay?

Just curious. Thanks.

I do all the detailing on my Dakota, but we recently had the exteror done on our '02 QC Ram. It cost us $65 to have it buffed & waxed and it came out great.

Chuck,

I love your Dakota. I have been watching the transformation for a few years now on your website. I want your interior, except in a different color.

The service that you had done to your Ram, did that include the wheels. I have polished rims and they are labor intensive to get "like new" shiny.

Thanks Julie :-)

When the detail shop did the Ram it included buffing with a "special" glaze, wax and a complete fine detail ... including polishing the chrome rims.

If you have billet rims that need polishing, you should expect to pay more because as you mention they are labor intensive.

I've never polished billet before and I'm not really sure what would work. I just ran across a new site a couple days ago that has a bunch of different polishes on it. It might be worth an email to them to see if they can't recommend something that will shorten the time to get a great shine. The site is:
