I just picked up my new 2002 dak last friday and am looking for good starting points for adding mods. It's a sport, club cab, V6, patriot blue (the navy). The first thing I want to do is get it lowered a bit, any recommendations? Also want to put a front bumper cover, I really like the wings west ones. Anyways, if anyone has any good recommendations or suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Dude, this website is JAM PACKED with ideas, thats what its for, a refrence. If you have questions about lowering, go to slammed daks board. Just look at other peoples posts and once you look long enough, you'll find some with pictures and eventually you'll find one that you will want to model your truck after or take ideas from.

I am the proud owner of a 2002 Dakota Club cab 4x4 Alantic Blue color. I am also intrested in modding my truck but so far all I have done is put on/in....Bug Shield..Door edge guards..entry guards..floor mats..bed liner..tanoe cover..and Window Visors..you can check it all out on my web site.

Just wondering.. Did you get the extened 7yr/100,000mi warranty?... I did and found out I can't do anything..{I think} so I am intrested in what you do to yours w/o messing up and warranty stuff.

I went and purchased a A.R.E tonneau cover yesterday. I orginally wanted a GemTop GT Classic but they said it would take like 10 weeks to get it, and I need one in about 4 (going campting). I also put on VentVisor (window visor) and bed liner so we are basically in the same boat! I am not sure about the warranty though. The only thing I can see the warranty being voided is if you made any type of performence changes? I mean i can't see the warranty being affected if the mods are completely cosmetic? I could be totally wrong so I dont have a clue.
If you were refering to changes that were related to performence then it would make sense that the it could have conflics with the warranty.
Thanks for bringing it up ill have to look into it. Lemme know if you find anything out.
PS: Love the 4x4 in that new blue! Looks sharp.

I wanted trade out my factory Radio and speakers and put a sub it it but I did find out that when they put all that in its cutting into that factory wiring which is a big no-no for me.
I know the performance stuff would void it but I'd like to put at least and Cold air intake { K&N} to get alittle more horse's out of my V6.
I'd also like to put a body lift and get 32in mudders.
I keep asking the dealership I go to for no-no's and yes-yes'es and I think I've gotten to the point that there pissed off with me {lol}

The only things that I am going to do right now is put some clear corners and a new grill. I can't see those having any problems in the warranty but who knows?
I have a deck & sub from my other truck that im going to put... There goes wiring warranty i guess!

I was Thinking of putting clear corners on too.
But I'm not sure if there legal where I am. { Mass} I was also going to put on Tail Light Covers. I desided to put a new grill on my truck now..
