Subject: would this be possible? IP: Logged
Message: O.K , this may be a stupid question , but can you use air bags on a 4x4? I think it would be cool to lower the truck for the street , and then raise it back to stock hight for mild off-road. I don't want the truck on the ground , just low enough to corner better , and handle better. Would I get better handling if I usued just the bags , and kept the truck at stock hight , and forgo raising and lowing? thanks for the healp.

Message: Bags aren't really meant for handling. You would get better handling by not using the bags. Pick up the newest Street Trucks Magazine. There is a MONSTER lifted Excursion that has bags on it and has a full 2 feet of lift. Its sick.

Message: is the excurson orange? if so it was at out show. that thing is awsome!!
as for baggs on a 4x4 i wouldnt do it. when the bags are full it will bounce a lot in the off road, and iv noticed trucks dont corner better with baggs acutally it gets worse. dont do it!
another thing, it is a lot of money. just buy some sway bars. and maby a set of 18's with a good size tire. that will help a lot on the street and switch to your 15's when you go off roading.

Message: it is possible to put 2 different air bags on each tire...you could put an 18" bag..and then a 8" bag..then when you're driving all you have to do is drop the 18" and you'll be 8" off the ground...they also have 4" bags...it just depends what you want to do...and it is said to work on 4wd vehicles
