Nothing wrong with a CB radio if you have a use for it... Put it in your center console facing upwards or mount it to the plastic just below your stereo if you have an automatic. Use your imagination.

hey TNT,
I've got a CB in my 98 Dak. only places that I could think to mount it were be either on the front edge of my 40/10/40 bench (I didn't feel like loosing my cupholders) or on the knee bolster under the radio. Since I've got an automagic my only clearance issue was for the transfer case shifter. if you're going with a smaller radio (like the Uniden 510) then you have nothing but room, but a larger radio gets a hair tight. if you want some pics of mine, gimme a holler.

also, as for the antenna, if I could I'd have gone for the front edge of the bed, but since I have a topper on most of the time that was out. I used a Firestik am/fm/cb splitter and I went for replacing the stock AM/FM antenna with a 3' FireStik II.

FYI If you need any info on CB antennas, firestik.com is a fantastic place to start.

good luck,
Mike
