A ricer friend just just got one for his Civic and I think it would look awesome on my '99 Dakota.The place he got it from makes them for the Rams and I e-mailed them about plans for Dakotas but haven't heard back.fiberimages.com is the place,they have a pic of a yellow Ram with it and it's pretty sweet.
Anyone have one or know where I can buy one under a grand?

I just contacted a company the produces C.F. hoods and he gave me the price of $950 a hood if 20+ people were to buy a hood and that is with him taking up the cost of the tooling.

For that you might as well get one of the other custom fiberglass hoods and only save half the weight and then buy some performance goodies.

I'll keep it in mind but I guess I'm leaning toward the Suncoast hood.
That carbon fiber weave is real sharp.My friend paid $450 shipped for his Civic (Yeah,I know there's alot more to our hoods than those little crap boxes).

Hey yall, I like the custizing car things. I have my dak all fixed up too. But whats with the carbon fiber hoods? They look like someone just got a black hood outa a junk yard and slapped it on the car. Maybe if you have a black or grey truck it would look cool, but not on anything else. and for $900+ you could get a whole damn body kit for you dak. No way man, dont spend it.

Joe;Each his own my man.Some ground effects and slammed trucks are something I wouldn't be caught dead in but I don't look down on others tastes.
Maybe I'm a closet ricer LOL but that hood really turns me on.

That's a link to fiberglass hoods for the dakotas. It's not carbon fiber, but they are priced to sell and they have a ok selection. You can also just do a search on the web and find other companies.

I've been looking high and low and I've decided on the Suncoast hoods if I can't get a C/F at about the same price.
I was doing some thinking on it and the C/F wouldn't be functional (Induction wise),really just for looks,where I'd probably get the Suncoast w/ the heat exchangers.
Any thoughts on the heat exchangers? Is it worth it?

I don't think suncoast or the other one mentioned looked nearly as good as keystones single, and cervinis's double scoops. But hey.. personal preference, i'll be getting one or the other this summer.

I just gave another look to all 4 companies.I like the more "aggressive" look for a lack of a better term of the Suncoast and the Moore.The single scoop doesn't appeal to me.

Sin Citys web page is great for your dakotas and has lots of links to Performance and Mods They have a 2in carbonfiber hood on there too 700 bucks but its worth it
