Subject: rolling fenders IP: Logged
Message:
I have recently found a couple bumps that make the front tires bottom out against the fenders. I understand there's a process called rolling the fenders and I was wondering what would be the best way to do this.
Thanks,

Message: u talkin about the front or rear? normally you cut slits in the lip and just bend it up under, but there's metal in the way (look under there, you'll see what i'm talkin bout).. so you'll have to cut the slits in the lip, then cut off most of the lip, and leave just enough to bend up. confused yet? the rear should be easy, just cut and roll. watch the paint!

Yeah, I'm talking about the front. I've seen the excess metal (about an inch) that I'll have to do something about, but I wasn't sure if I had to cut slits or not.
I just want to eliminate any sharp edges so I don't gouge my new tires. I might add a little taller bumpstop as well, but am hesitant because of how harsh the bumps would be then.
I've rolled fenders on stock cars before, but you don't have to be that careful on something that is going to get banged up in a couple races.
