Message: first, use rubbing alcohol, or something of the sort, to clean the area. Then all you have to do is start from the MIDDLE of the decal and use a rubber "scraper", or something semi-pliable with a straight edge, and work to the outside. Making sure, while you go, that you squeeze all air bubbles out. I know that some people put down soapy water first, I find it works well without it too. Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

Message: It all depends on how big the decal is.
If it's larger, then you will need a squirt bottle with two drops of dish washing soap in it... spray the surface with it... not too much, just a good misting... then apply...
If it's smaller like the dodge letter, then tape an edge with tape and make sure it's level with the car and peel the backing off while holding the vinyl's mask. Then squeegy it with a little bit of force... the water makes the adhesive somewhat not as sticky to allow bubbles to come out after application... if you get bubbles that won't come out... poke them with an exacto knife and get the air out that way... whoo...
there are a lot of factors when applying vinyl.
