Subject: fog lamps off w/highbeams? FIX! IP: Logged
Message: Here's how to stop the fact. fogs from turning off when high beams are turned on. Pop hood, stand at drivers side, open fuse box, look for relay #1 (#ings top left of each relay - this relay should be right next to the battery cables, top right). After removing relay you'll notice 3vertical and 2horizontal slots; with a wire jumper connect middle vertical and bottom horizontal slots. (The underside of the relay has the pins numbered - you are basically joining #4 & #3). DONE!

Message: might be a stupid question, but here it goes...
More specifically how do you join the 2 slots. Whats a wire jumpper? I've never done something like this before but i'd really like to. I've got those xenon super white bubls in both my head ligts and fog lights and i have always wondered what it be like to have them on together. Please someone get me some more details. thanx

Message: stepdog:
A jumper wire is basically any conductor used to make a circiut (conect two points). In this case, just find a short piece of wire that will fit in the slots and allow the relay to be plugged back into its original spot.

Message: Has anyone wired their headlights so that both your high and low beams come on "passing light"? I have a 98 and they both come on when I have my lowbeams on and flick the highbeam lever, but I have to hold it back to keep them both on.

Message: Make sure you leave the relay out people, you've basicaly bypassed it. Just to make sure youv'e got the right one, turn on vehicle, lights and fogs, stand outside and feel relay clicking while flicking highbeams on/off. [for STEPDOGG-> go to your local stereo install shop, show them the two slots and they'll make a piece of wire with connectors on it that you can use. Other than that where are you lost (read it slowly)] Sorry no PICs/no CAM! I may attemp THRASH1 prob, 'how can you get low and high beams to both stay on when flicked on to high beam. Does any one know if this will harm anything (worried about heat/lifespan)

Message: Well i'm not sure which one prob not the black one but what you need to do is take a test light hook the ground to a ground on your truck and then touch it to each wire with your low beam lights on, which ever one lights up is your wire and just to make sure hit your high beam and the test light should go off, also remember to use a relay when hooking up your fog lights off of the power wire to your fog lights!
Hope this helps
