I just got my new steel CHROME lower front valance for my 02 QC 4WD SLT and I think it`s going to look very good on the truck! Looks made well , and it`s heavy. My truck`s all black and chrome with the exception of the stock lower valance and the 2 pieces on the rear bumper which are both grey :( .They are being replaced with the chrome valance and 2 new black pieces for the rear bumper that I got from work. Hoping it will look good! I`ll take some pictures when it`s all done.

I got it from Godfathers Customs , they were 10$ cheaper than anyone else I called. It was 269$ to my door for the chrome one , be careful if you call around , make sure you get a price for chrome not a paintable one , as they are cheaper in price. Going back to work now to put it on , my wife`s out of town with the dig. camera , so I won`t have any pic. until Sat or Sun. I`ll let you know here and try and send you some pics via e-mail.

Well, it`s on ... took 4&1/2 hours for me (auto painter) and a friend of mine that works with me(auto body tech) to put that thing on!
It looks pretty good though.Need dinner and a drink to unwind then it`ll probably look even better.
They say you can use the factory fog lamps..you can.. but they failed to mention you have to custom fab some brackets , because there is no place to mount them on the new valance. The old (factory) one has places molded into the plastic that hold the lights.Ended up mounting them to the bumper brackets, seems sturdy enough.
I`m changing out the rear bumper pieces tonight (hopefully). I`ll get pics. soon.

Scott -

Do you have any pics of how you fabricated the mounting brackets for the lights? I just put the same Air Dam on my '01 QC and ran into the same problem. I ordered it from autobahn wholesale and they told me you have to order the light kit for $140 to get the brackets. I don't want to have to pay for another set of lights if I don't have to. Thanks

Steve, sorry for not answering this earlier, but I just happened to check this forum.Anyway ,I don`t have any pics.,but I can say that I used 2 pieces of metal (L brackets, with holes) and welded them to the bumper brackets and then just kept adjusting them until I was happy. They turned out O.K. but man it was alot of work!
Good luck and let me know what you did.

I just think it's crappy that the stock part is more than most aftermarket valences (including paint and shipping). I mean, what's the reason to get the factory one if you f*ck it up when you can get a different one with a different style oand look, for cheaper?!
