Aside from switching out the air intake to and aftermarket type like K&N and 360, what other things can be done to clean out the engine compartment so it looks nicer and less cramped? I imagine steel-braided hoses would boost the appearance too. Anything else?

headers are a nice addition. if you can the ciramic look the best and will never rust.

get some polish (i like mothers) and polish the A/C line fittings, and any other polishable metal. makes for a nicely detailed compartment. polished valve covers are also a nice addition
