Message:
i've got a 93 dakota, and i've heard of people replacing bench seats on their dakotas with bucket seats from other cars. i'm kinda interested in this, and i'm wondering if anyone knows what seats will swap over to my dak with relative ease. i don't want $500 custom seats, just something i could stop by the local pick-a-part and grab for a change. thanks.

I'm going to attempt to put a Neon seat into my Dak. I'm putting a race seat into the Neon so that will free up my factory buckets!

If all works well I'll let you know.

Daytona seats are supposed to be a direct replacement for Gen2 Dakota's. The holes in the brackets line up no problem.

I have a friend that had some genII buckets layin' around from when he swapped his seats so I took those and bolted them in in place of my bench. If you are looking for easy and cheap, just get some genII buckets. Took me about 40 minutes, including cleaning the cab, to swap them using air tools.

well, to give you an idea i got some 01 sebring leather seats for my 99. cost was 300 for both seats + shipping. now i just have to figure out how to install the dumb things...that's going to take some enginuety...

i would suggest not putting the neon seats in your dak. i looked at them but if you tilt the seats all the way up the upper back support sticks out to much...well at leat for me...good luck.
