Anybody know where I could get a chrom air dam for my 99 Dakota? The only one I have seen is one that comes with the bumper too. I think Distinctive truck accessories makes it. I was just wondering if there is a place that sells just the lower part of the bumper. I want to get rid of the dull gray plastic and put a steel chrome one on.

I too would like to know why this valance won't fit 2001+ models. I know that the interiors were redesigned in 2001, but the outside of the truck looks the same. I have a 2001 Dakota Quadcab, and would love to have a chrome valance on my truck. Anyone know where to get one?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They will fit , I have one on my 02 QC.
You have to make the brackets to hold the foglamps though , because the factory plastic one has the brackets molded in to the valance.

the main reason is that the bumper and valance on the newer trucks are made together unlike the pre 2001s unless you have a SLT with the chrome bumper then your fine except the fog lights as stated above.

My 2001 Dakota has the chrome upper, but the plain old gray plastic valance. If the chrome valance sold by Distictive Truck Accessories will work, then I'll order the thing...and I don't have the foglights on my truck...I live in the desert and haven't seen fog in years...but I'll look into mounting some fogs on the new valance...would probably look pretty kewl.

You guys ever think of taking your exsisting valance out to get it chromed? A bodyshop should be able to send one out to get it done! Its just a thought!
