 Subject: Oil Pressure gauge

I have owned my 99 Dakota for 2 weeks now and I have had my check gauge light come on 3 times. I just catch the oil pressure gauge comeing back up from nothing. The thing runs the same and doesnt miss a beat when this happens and only lasts a few seconds. Is this a short? Anyone else have this happen? Thanks
