I was wondering if anyone knew how much a set of OEM fender flares costs, or if there's a way to get them cheaper?

Find a dealer parts department that will sell you them at or just abouve cost. I paid about 192.00 for mine, and they come already painted from the factory with all the mounting hardware.

They're about $200 give or take a buck from dodge in the factory color, or you can do like I'm going to and go with bushwackers. They are about the same price, come in black so you can paint them whatever color you want. They also have different sizes to choose from. From slightly narrower than stock, to OE and larger.

I'm in Jacksonville FL. We have about 5 dealers here. One told me 206, but yesterday another one told my friend Viper 260. He also looked at the Bushwacker flares and you will have to paint them. They are all different shades of black. Looks like I'll be going with the factory ones after all.

Call the dealer where you bought the truck, ask for the parts department. Be very nice and alittle confused acting. Tell them you bought the truck there and that you had discussed buying a few things for it at the time of purchase, and that you were told something like, " I was told I could get them at, uh internal or dealer cost, or something". Or tell them you have another dealer. make one up who will give them to you for at or 10% over cost. Tell them it is right at 200.00 and that since, they are the "better" dealer, compliment them etc, that you would perfer to work with/buy from them. Ive done that and bought R/T rims for less than 500.00 for all 4. fender flares for well under 200.00, and the factory fog lamp kit for under 90.00. I will also be able to buy the performance parts for my truck when they finally come out at internal cost(4.7).

Good luck, its all in playing the game, dont feel bad lying, realize that they are trying to screw you on price and that even when you get them down to "dealer price" or internal price they still make something, and dodge makes alot.

they are color matched plastic.. or at least the black ones are. I don't THINK they are painting... I could be wrong on the other colors though. I know when I ordered mine, I had to give them a paint code... but mine aren't painted.

If you order through the dealer they come painted the same color as your truck (they are painted, you can tell by looking at the back side of them). That's why you have to give them the paint code. Depending on where you are and how well you know the dealer they can be as cheap as $190 all the way to $250. Beyond $250, I hope they buy you a cup of coffee and a donut too (what a rip!).

You're right, Ron - and besides - how exactly would they MOLD high-gloss pearl-coat?

By the way...
If you have a non-R/T 2WD with the handling package (P255/65/16's), the flares are a NECCESSITY! My special-ordered flares are still not here, and the slightest hint of road-moisture sprays the sides of my truck worst than a male house-cat. A worthwhile investment at nearly ANY price. Oh, yeah... AND they look cool, too!

Marc, where did you buy the truck? Try calling them and tell them you bought it there and the dealer told you that you could get "in house price" for a few mods that didnt come on the truck.

Other wise call them and tell them that other dealers parts departments told you that they cost around 205.00 or so and you like them better, blah, blah, blah.. and ask them for their best price. Tell me how it turns out.

If you did buy it through a dealer, go talk to your dealer and ask him to call the parts department.

try it all these ways, one will work!

I'm located in SE PA, near Reading but I bought the truck up near Kutztown at MENTE Dodge. I'm going to call the sales guy I purchased from and see if he can get me a deal. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but the feeling I get is because i didn't buy a high end truck that I'm getting blown off. Ordered the mopar performance catalog from them, took 6 months to get one in and then I found out after the fact that they're charging me 6 bucks for it.I'm not oppssed to paying for things but they didn't tell me up front when i asked about it. I'l let you guys know how the flare deal turns out.

Well I finally got somewhere with my dealer on the fender flares and fog light kit. 220 for the flares (in black unfortunately not on sale dammit!) and 100 for the fog light kit and I practically had to ask 3 separate times before my sales guy got me those prices ! I know some of you guys have done better but I am so tired of asking around I just figured after 3 tries with this guy I better run with it. Upside is I should have both things by the end of the week. Thanks for the advice I think it helped.

Actually I am pretty sure it is a screw up in the computer system and will not take long before it is caught. My friend tried to get them and out of 5 dealers here they all caught it and said that was incorrect and pulled up the $260 price. He Finally ended up getting away with it at a Chrylser dealer. Better hurry, probably wont belong before it is fixed!

I know that there is a brand new set of forest green fender flares on ebay for the Quad Cab in case you didn't know. I need intense blue fender flares for the standard/club cab. If anyone has them I would be willing to trade 4 15" factory alloy rims for excellent/new condition flares, or purchase them for a good price. Hit me up, my email is dbzrules@tampabay.rr.com.
