Just got my billet gas door from SinCityRT's group buy and it is SWEEEEET. Installed in about 5 minutes fits perfectly, looks great and got it for $65

Steve, I received my billet door yesterday. Sent out for powdercoat now. It's a real piece of work! This is the 2nd group buy I've gone with you on (first was NuImage gauges) and you've come through with flying colors again. Thanks for your help, pleasure doing business with ya!

I'm not positive but i believe the guy who ran this group buy has a silver R/T. I think it would look especially nice on silver but in a more subtle way then on my Flame Red

Can someone tell me if the door will fit a 1997 dak? Most companies that sell the door list 98 and up. I would really like this mod. Also, I'm having a hard time finding a locking gas cap for my truck, any help here.

installing mine tomorrow..
as far as years it'll fit, we were told 99+up but on the instruction sheet that came with it says 96-02....i measured my 98 ext cab with a 99 rc and they were the exact same size,height, length, width and depth.

Just got the gas door installed myself, the thing looks great (thanks SinCityR/T!!!)...Just a question to those of you who have installed them. Have you gotten gasoline since? Ouch! Am I only one with (extremely) sharp edges on their door?

I just installed my fuel door, no sharp edges here. Used a T-30 socket to break the screws loose, then changed to a screwdriver, stock door came off easy. Spray some silicone on the stock rubber bumpers and they pop out easy if you want to save them. Installed the new door using locktite on the fasteners and tightened them with a 1/4" drive ratchet with a 4mm socket to prevent overtightning and possibly snapping replacment hardware. Used one of the spacers as a washer for the one odd small nut that was provided with the kit. Easy install and a great looking piece.
I looked real close at mine after reading Tom Jones' post and the edges on mine are ok. If the edges are sharp I'd take the door off and put it in a vise with rubber jaws or a cloth to protect the surface and use a dremel tool to deburr the edges.

Installed mine today. was pretty easy with the exception that the 2 bolts holding the stock door were pretty tight and painted over. it took me an adjustable wrench on my t-30 torx driver to gain the leverage to undo the bolts. Other than that it was pretty easy and hassle free. Of course i have to mention it looks fantastic on the truck. im just worried about someone trying to steal it now...im going to get me some of that lock-tite..it should help :-)

Only problems I had installing mine were I broke one of the screws installing it using a small allen wrench, and I have yet to get the fuel cap tether into the hole provided.
