Message: I know a guy who has them on a Gen II. I've got a set to go on my GII also but haven't seen any on Gen IIIs. If anyone knows if the Ford Racing Kit on Summit racing will work on a GenII please tell me.

Message: It seems that they are all pretty much the same, what i am going to do is to order a cheap set, cut them up and add a little sodder. and whala, fake hood pins. this will tell me if they look good before i drill into my hood. if i like them i will buy a good looking set. i will keep you guys posted.

Message: I'd watch buying a cheap set, most of them will begin to rust in a matter of days or weeks and that really looks like crap. And if I'm thinking right you'll have to drill holes anyway to mount the plates to the topside of the hood.

Message: I'm buying the cheap set as a test set, this set will be cut and sodered to create just the part that is seen above the hood, ie the scuff plate, cotter pin and top part of the screw piece. I plan on using my digital camera placed on a tripod infront of the truck and taking 2 pics with the makeshift peice on both sides of the truck to see if i actually like the look, the test set as around 7 bucks, if i like the look i will buy the ferd motorsports or the mopar set.
this way i wont even drill the hood to see if i like the look on the gen 3.

Message: OK so your not mounting them? Your just placing them and taking pics, I thought you were actually going to mount them and drive with them on for a while to see if you like them.

Message: Personally,.. No I don't like them... It appears (from the picture) that the pins are angled "out" Not sure if that's how your finished product would look, but I say "scrap it"
~**But remember: To Each His Own!**~ Doesn't matter what I, or anyone else thinks, if you like, go with it!!
