Subject: speed grill question IP: Logged
Message: ok, on the dakota/durangos, the hood release is behind the grill. so that means you have to reach through the grill to open the hood. If you put the speed grill on them, then how do you open the hood? Doesnt it close up that opening that you have to stick your hand through to open the hood? If not, then how does it work?
Thanks

Message: there is a t-bar under the hood. for a really good explanation go to www.intense99dak.com
His web site explains it all. go to mods, then exterior, then body parts, and then scroll down. It's all there.

Message: I have the Street Scene grill inserts but this should answer your question for any of them. The kit's come with another hood release mechanism that is attached to the original and then located in the center of the grill just above the bumper. When you "pop" the hood you can then reach the new hood release handle.

Message: You could always just do the hood release like I did on mine: http://www.chimptopia.com/pimptopia/grille3.html
Real simple... and REAL CHEAP!
