Anyone have an opinion on which is better quality? 2001 white face? What about the diamond or platinum series?

Hey I have the platinum guages, ac-heater controls, and headlight switch control. But, my guages don't quit match up right with the lights in the information center. Any help would be great. 2000 black CC R/T.

Looks good, cant wait to see the new hood on your Dak.
The one thing I dont like about the white face is, they should leave the turn signal indicators and information center black, i think it would look better. information center stands out to much. are they all like that, and why do you have to jimmy rig them?

Hey Tim what exhaust do you have? My truck is almost exactly the same as yours but my exhaust isn't as loud. I have a flowmaster 40 but didn't run my duals straight out, I had them aimed toward the rear corners of the bed. I also didn't remove or gut the 3rd cat.

Hey quadman and Clevite 77
I have a flowmaster 40 series (2 chamber) muffler. The muffler is single in
and dual out. I had a shop bend all the pipe and weld it all up. I did not touch the cats. I did not seem to notice any bottom end torque loss, but then I had the exhaust put on a few days after I got the truck.

I saw a pic on the web of someone that cut out the turn signal indicators and information center of there old gauges and splice them in on the new ones. It looked good in the pic. But I was not about to start hacking up a brand new set of gauges.
As for what I had to jimmy. Your stock gauges have a thin foam square around each light in the information center (that's so the light from each one does not spread and light up the other warning lights). Well the new gauges do not have the foam around the information center so when your lights are on all the indicators in the info center are part light. So what you need to do is get some foam tape from some place like home depot and go around each light. Also there are some other hot spots (where the light shines through where it shouldn't)on the gauges at night so I took black electrical tape and went over those spots.
It really was not that hard. I wish I took pics I could show you. In any case I like things perfect so I ended up taking out the gauges 5 or 6 time till I got it rite.
If yah decide to get them and you want me to tell you exactly where you mite want to put electrical tape and any other tips I can think of at the time email me through my web page and I will give you my number. http://www.geocities.com/dodgedakota2001qc/
