Message: 1st I installed the Performance Accessories(PA) 2" body lift, then a couple years later I installed (added)the Trailmaster(TM) 4" suspension lift. I still have on 31x10.5s, which easily fit on a stock 95. I will be putting on some 33s this spring (I will wear these 31s out before removing them.
With the 2" body lift you can safely fit 32x11.5s as long as you stay with stock wheels or don't get crazy with too small of a backspacing on aftermarket wheels.
The 4" TM kit HAS to have aftermarket wheels. They state nothing more than a 4" back spacing in their directions. I put on the 589's with 3.25 backspacing. I wish I would have gotten a 4" backspacing, they wouldn't be sticking out so far (about 2"s).
The body lift is not difficult if you have a little bit of automotive knowledge. To actually lift the body took just a couple hours. To massage the linkage for the auto trans and making an extension for my trans case shifter took a couple more hours. To relocate the bumpers up to a height that adequately closed the gaps at the front and rear and fix my spare tire release tube took another half day. I did mine over a weekend, all of it, by myself. I'm sure with a buddy it would be significantly less.
Now the Suspension lift. Well, that took a little over two weeks on my back in the garage after work each night. This one is best tackled by the more experienced mechanic. I do not know your background, so I could not suggest if you should tackle it. I can tell you it was about as far in depth as I want to get in my own garage.
Stock: 31s, maybe 32s.
2" or 3" body lift: 32s, maybe 33s.
4" susp lift: 31s or 32s depends on back spacing.
Susp&body: 33s, maybe up to 35s with some rubbing.
Hope this helps.

Message: I have a 94 dakota with a 3 inch body lift and 33's mt from mastercraft. those coursier mt's are good tires, they wear evenly and don't wear fast either. ok, for anyone who reads this, most daks can run 33's with a 3 inch lift, just be ready with a sawzall and have some fun with it. give er hell. and make a deep cut first, so you can't turn back.

Message: Hey 94, I'd be really interested in seeing your cuts ie. where and how much. How does it look? How did you close up the holes created afterwards?

Message: the cuts all depend on if you want it to be a show truck or an off-road truck. I just cut on the bottom of the front wheel wells. the back of it. not that much though. it's not as bad as everyone thinks. on the front I have to cut some plastic, so the plastic doesn't come to a 90 degree anymore. just sand it out and it's hardly unoticible, unles you take it to a truck show or somethin. woo, gettin add-a-leafs this week, cause I'm gonna start haulin mulch. and my torsion bars are cranked so the back is lower than the front. I'm thinkin the new leafs my help the little bit or hardly and rub I still get on the front. I don't know, the experiment is on
