 Subject: nerf bars with lift?

i just ordered my PA 3" lift and 33 inch tires.....i have westin nerf bars on my truck now....will this effect the look of the nerf bars?...if so, does it look horrible, or should i keep them on?

With the 3" body lift the bars will hang 3" lower than where they are in stock form. sorry no pics for ya still working on my webpage.

Make new mounts so they'll sit higher or take them off. THe ones that hang low are crappy looking.

i dont think the nerf bars are 3"lower .its just a 3"gap because you lift the body and the bars are still on the fram .4wDakota how did u go about making new mounts

Step 1 - Torch
Step 2 - Weld

It was pretty easy for me, I have a machine/fabrication shop. One of the other members "DakotaFan" has smittybuilts. They said the smittybuilts are easy to modify for the bodylift. I'd look into them if you don't already have nerf bars
Most nerf bars mount to the body mounts, mine are mounted to the frame. I got some steel and made new ones. Primered and painted them god and put them on. I actually lifted them 3.5" so they would be tucked up under the body more.
Check out 2thextrm's truck, he did the same thing. He has pics on his yahoo site:
