Message: I noticed that you have the 4.10 gears with your lift setup. I wanted to get the same lift and tire combo as you but I have the peg-leg 3.55's. I was curious if you would recomend the 4.10's and if so where did you get them and for how much. thanks.

Message: I'm running 4.10s as well. I intend to go to 35s but am currently running 33s. If you plan to tow or do much off-roading with 33s, I'd go with the 4.10s otherwise I'd reccomend 3.92s as a good 'in between' but for 33s, definately lose the 3.55s (it's what I started with too). The reason I didn't go to 4.56 is because I plan to switch back and forth between 33s (everyday / towing) and 35s (off-road).

Message: I don't plan on towing or off roading too frequently at least in the near future because I have very little time for myself. I would however like the extra power. What is the difference in notable in power and mpg w/ the 3.92 to the 4.10? Is the 4.10 alot more? Could it really use that more gas than the 3.92s?

Message: Back now...
The difference really wouldn't be that much, probably unnoticeable. The mileage difference is barely there for me going to 4.10s from 3.55s with the 33s.

Message: Sorry, had to go away for buisness. John H.I would suggest Randy's ring and pinion for a gear. I had mine done here locally for $500 which included everything except the limited slip posi unit that I purchased on E-bay for $150. But deffinately go with the 4.10 gear if you use 33 inch tires. I've noticed a little gas mileage drop. About 1 MPG on the road. But in performance it deffinately makes up for it. As for 35's, good luck. You're going to have to do some serious shaving of the wheel well to make it work unless you can lift it higher. But if you do make it work, drop me a pic, I'd like to see what it looks like. Personally I think 33's look and ride great. From my understanding, 4.10 gear works great for the V-6ers and 8's but for a four banger, might want to try a 4.56 gear. Greg
Wouldn't want any other!
