Subject: IFS to Solid Front Axle Conversion IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys. I've only been playing around with the idea recently of swapping the Independant Front Suspension in my 2wd 92 Dakota. I'm pretty sure when all of you guys talk about swapping out your front ends for solid axles, you are talking about 4wd systems. It will eventually become a 2wd - 4wd swap but i was wondering how much difficultly would go into something like cutting out the upper and lower control arms, remodding the brake lines, and, get this insanity, welding in leaf spring mounts and leafspringing the front. Basically, a mirror of the rear. As you can tell, I'm tired of noone making a suspension lift for the 92 2wd and am getting despirate/vicious. Thanks for the replies ahead of time
