Subject: 3" body lift..now tires!! IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys, I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but if you can help me that would be cool. I am in the process of very soon putting in a 3 inch body lift and before I install it I need to buy new tires and rims. My original ones are 15x7 and they are not big enough for 33 inch tires which I want. What size of rim would I need to get to make the 33's fit with out rubbing severly. My 31's now rub a little, so i am not worried about that.
Should I go with a 15x8 offset rim or should I jump to a 16x8 offset rim?
I need your guys opinions before I can go any further with the lift...!!!
Thanks guys in advance and by the way I have a 99 4x4 extended cab, 318, 5 speed.
Any help is appreciated. I know there must be someone who has this done already.

Message: Dakota kidd... I was asleep sorry for not waking up to answer your question....
Calm down give the posts a day or two to get a answer..
Most people are either running stock 15x8, 16x8's or Eagle 589's 15x8 with a backspacing of 15...... just kidding.. I think the backspacing people are running is 5.5 but I could be wrong.. Someone please help me out with the backspacing.

Message: So I have been looking at some of both 15x8 and 16x8. I still cannot make the decision yet, some more shopping around is needed.
If I purchase one or the other, is there any difference to what I will have to do with my truck except moving the t-bar in the front up?
Thanks in advance.
