Subject: 97 3" Lift IP: Logged
Message: I just put on 31" Geolanders and want to do a 3" lift. I am wondering if I should put on 33's because it might look dumb.

Message: Why would it look dumb? I just put on a 3" body lift and 33's on my QC this weekend and I think it looks great.

Message: I would definitly use larger tires if you get the 3 inch lift. I don't think the 31's would look dumb, but just not as good. A 32 would probably look alright, but I think a 33 would look best.

Message: 97_blk_dak, I was looking through your photo page and came across the one of your dash board. I really like that. Where did you get it?
And to put my 2 cents in about the 33's, I'm planning on lifting my 98 Dak sport 3" and putting 33's on in the spring. Bigger tires make trucks look more menacing. So my opinion is go for the 33's.

Message: I got the gauges off of ebay through ProCarParts. I think I paid about $35 for them. Here is a link to the Gauges that are listed on ebay now.
I used the detailed instructions with pictures from Eric Giblock's webpage to install them. His instructions were much easier to follow than the universal instructions that came with the kit. I like the looks of these much better than the ones where the whole face glows.
The aluminum overlay I got off of ebay also. Here is a link to one of those. Aluminum Overlay. Both of these are also available for 99-00 but I'm not sure about 01-03.
Here is a link to a carbon fiber bezel that I found the other day but it is only available for 99-00.
Anyway, hope this helps.
