Subject: lift and tires IP: Logged
Message: I know that this subject has been gone over sooooooo many times that all of you want to shoot me for asking but im going to do it anyway. Does anyone have a 2000 2wd with a 3 in body lift and 31x11.5x15 or 31x12.5x15. I am just wondering how they rub if they rub at all. Any input would be great.

Message: I don't have a 3 inch body lift but I have 2 inch coil spacers and 265-70-17 mudterrains. these come out to about 32-11inches and mine did scrub a bit on the front bumper. they also scrub on the sway bar at full lock. In my opinion it is not bad though. I have been thinking of adding a 3 inch body lift but am unsure as to weither or not it will look good with these tires.
You should be able to get away with 31-11.5 on an 8 inch rim, but 31-12.50 will most likely rub. on a 10 inch rim they will definately rub.

Message: it really depends on how you define alittle trimming. my front bumper is about the same as stock and you can barely tell it's trimmed. the tires rub on the back lining but it's not all that bad. I have a friend with a 97 2wd 4cyl dak with 32-11.5-15 thornbirds. he has done absolutely no trimming on his. they do rub but he's a runner for a law firm and drives around all the time and has not had any problems.
my next tires will be 32-11.5-17 ssr's but those will be a long way off.

Message: you could probable go 12.5 but they will scrubb. how bad is going to depend on preference. mine scrubb a tad at certain times but it doesn't bother me.
I've never seen a 32 12.50 before, a 31 12.50 would look sweet. If I didn't spend so much on my 17 inch rims when my truck was dropped I would have gotten 31-12.50x-terrains on a 15inch rim.

Message: I have a '99 2wd with a 3" body lift. I have 31x10.5x15's on it. I can turn the wheel to full lock with no rubbing. I can look in and see light between the wheel and body, so you should be able to use the 11.5's but it's kinda sketchy about the 12.5's. That may be a little too close. Anyway. If you go with a 3" body lift, you can easily get a 31x10.5 in there.

Message: Hey Shots,
Since you have the 31x11.5 on a 3" body lift, do you think a 32x10.5 [or 11.5] would work as well, or would it cause rubbing in a different way?

Message: If its 4x4 do the Trailmaster 4 inch suspension lift. But that costs over 1000 dollers. Probably with your torsion bars tightened and the lift you'll be able to run 33's. Im not sure though, so probably get a trailmaster body lift (3 inches) or the PA lift (2 inches)
If its 2x4 get the Rough Country 2 inch suspension lift. Thats what i got and im running 30's with some rubbing.
