i heard some people got rims without the correct backspacing 4.5. is that smart? does it work ok? is there any probs with it? . so that would mean that i could get chevy 6 lug wheels and throw them on my dak? thanks alot

Well you cannot put Chevy 6 lug wheels on because they are the wrong pattern. Dakota and Durango are the ONLY vehicle that uses a 6 lug on a 4.5 inch pattern. I hope someone burns in hell for that too. So of the very limited selection we have, most are close to the right backspacing because they are made for our vehicles in mind. Even if they are an inch or so out it will be fine. In the long run it will help keep your tires off your frame.
