No , not for US Dakota owners....BUT if you buy a new RAM 1500 there are now 3 different choices from which you could choose.

The newest entry is Pro-Comp as seen on page 11 of the Dec. fourwheeler mag.

"35 X 12.50s NO problem"

"our new LINEAR STEERING INERTIA SUPPRESSION SYSTEM compliments the rack and pinion design used in the new Ram. This balanced cylinder stabilizer system is an exclusive design from the engineering minds at Pro Comp and is a must have.Properly controlling the additional load generated in increasing tire size , this system provides added control which compliments the quickness of the OE rack and pinion steering system"....

So much for the excuses we`ve been getting from the other lift companies about the Dak. having a rack and pinion steering system and therefor we can`t make a kit for you crap.

Come on , are they really selling that many more Rams than Dakotas , to justify making a lift for them already??!!

Sorry for the long post and the whining , I just can`t believe it!!

I'm no Dodge salesman but I'll tell you that there are 3 Dakotas to every 1500 Ram in my area. Most of the Rams that sell here are 2500/3500. And out of the 1000's of 1500s in the area, I can count the lifted ones on 1 hand. A lot of Dak owners in my area are pissed because they spent a little less and bought the Dak over the Ram with plans to lift it with the money they saved. I know a bunch of guys that are going to trade in for a new Ram because of this (no lift available with cash in hand). I think the lift companies need to *&%*% LISTEN and make a lift for the guys that are willing to spend the cash.

hey jim, where are you located.. i ask this because i am in texas. in texas right now we have 2002 ram slt 4x4s nicely equipped for 24,999. our 2003 dak 4x4s are running about 26,000. i guess in texas everything is bigger :)

but i knew that for dodge to have kept the dak in the lineup it HAD to be outselling the ram in other states

DodgeSalesGuy - What would Dodge use to compete with the Ranger, S-10, Tacoma?

I still think even with the 5.7 HEMI the new Ram is underpowered.

If they stuck that in the Dakota... OMG talk about Ligntning killer :-)

I honistly don't know why the Ram 1500 is still around.. GO Dak, 2500, 3500 .. That's all u need. The 1500 is just a larger version of the dakota w/ the same drivetrain and power plant. The 2500 is where the suspension and everything starts changing.
