Message: sorry dave, its not gonna happen yet with a 2000+ dakota. The reason is that starting with the 2000 dakota they changed the front suspension from ring & pinion to worm & sector, which nobody has made a quality suspension lift for. One of a members, Knobbyman, tried a 2000+ suspension lift from truckin suspension but they totally screwed his whole truck up and he has spent the last 9 months trying to fix it. Do a search for more info if you want on that. The pre-2000 dakotas have quality suspension lifts for the ring & pinion with tuff country and rancho. What you saw was a combination of the 5.5" tuff country lift, 3" body lift, torsion bars cranked and alot of fender trimming. Right now all the 2000+ daks are resorting to body lifts to get lifted until someone comes out with a quality suspension lift. Rancho is rumored to be in the process of producing one but that rumor's been going around as long as I've been checking this site. If your looking to go huge, your best bet is a solid axle transfer but thats going to cost a good chunk of change.

Message: David , he`s right , I know because that was my truck. Another problem you have is , it looks like you don`t even have a 4X4 to begin with , that means your only option is to go with a straight axle up front. You`ll need a transfer case too , if you want a functional front end.....more $$$.
