I think it would look better with a custom bumper like the hanson but its no good bajaing with the extra weight.
Hmmm...5.5" suspension, 3" body, extended fenders and the hanson bumper = 38.5's tires
anybody want to give me a couple grand?...lol

actually it's going in next week to have custom skid plates made for the front, fuel tank, and rear axel. i'm going to see if there is anyway i can re-attach the top of my old "grill guard" to serve as a light bar/brushguard. my piaa's are in and will be going on with the skid plates, so even MORE new pictures in acouple of weeks. If my wife only knew how much i've been spending on the truck....hehehehehe

Hey Dweishaar, I'm in SD, SDSU area. I havent seen your truck around (believe me I spot ALL the daks around town) I'm about to throw the lift BACK ON MY TRUCK... I took it off and LOWERED it cause I figured I lived in SD and there was more of a "Street Scene" here. I was wrong.. I was stupid actually... but tha cool thing about it is I'm going to leave the 5" drop hangers in the rear so it'll give it the "California drop". I'll be on 32x11.50 AT's black steel rims. 97 model, black reg. cab, V8 with dumped exauhst.

are you getting a custome skidplate to go with the factory bumper? my idea was to get a custom skidplate to go up to the factory bumper(with no valance) and toss a fabtech prerunner bar on the factory bumper. what do you think?
by the way that truck looks mean as hell with those fenders. are you going to mount the gas tank in the bed? and are you getting some kind of notch for the rear axle?
sorry for all the questions. but I'm going for the baja truck look with mine.

yes, the skid plate will meet up with the under bumper(since i removed the plastic), to protect the radiator core. i was thinking of doing 1 or 2 22 gal aux tanks forward in the bed, but i've only gone out on 1 day outings, not full weekends. when i start getting the time for full weekends, it will happen. and the rear axel as a whole is in debate. within the next year i'd like to mid-mount the engine, do a long travel, and do a lot more fiberglass. i was also planning on pulling the whole dash and replacing it w/ carbon fiber or sheet aluminum. tha truck won't be street legal in another 1-2 years at the rate i'm going.

Truck looks good man! What about the rear, do they make fenders for the rear yet? You fit 33's with just the 3" suspension lift?
