Hey guys... I read several other posts pertaining to this question but wanted to ask for input from those of you who had experienced rubbing with the 10" wide wheels. How bad was the rubbing when using 33X12.50's on 15 X 10's with a 3 inch body lift. I have the lift sitting here and am getting ready to order the wheels and am leaning toward the EA 117's but i have heard of problems with the 15X10's kicking the tire out enough that it rubs... Should i buy the 15 X 8 instead or should i just expect to do some fender trimming (which i dont want to do). I have a 99 4X4 with 5.9 and dont really want to hack it to pieces to stuff tires under it. Where do they rub the most? Is it on the Front bumper area or the fender itself? I have not cranked up the torsion bars yet so i could do that to add a little to the front end if i have to... Please give me some input from your experiences with this one because I know many of you have tried this before.
Thank you,
Blued

Hey,I Have a 99 4x4 too, and i went with the 3 inch body lift and a set of 33x12.50 Thornbirds, with a set of 15x8 american racing rock crawlers. well i'd say go with the 15x8's i rub with my tires but i think thats just because of the lugs on the side of the thornbirds, i've done some moderate fender well triming and it doesn't rub much at all now. I dont know what kinda of tire you are goin with but if your goin with somethin like i got def. get the 15x8s. If you get a regular mud tire or AT tire you might be ok with a 15x10 i dont know. my tires do most of the rubbin on the back part of teh fender inside against the plastic guards and mostly on the passanger side, i found that my lugs on my tires would actually grab the fenderwell and pull them out and then continously rub on it so i cut alot of it out so it wont. But like you i also havn't touched my torsion bars yet, as much as i dont want to i think i am gonna crank them a little maybe like 1/2 adn inch or somethin

Hey, I had 32X11.50s on 15X10's on a 2000 QC with a three inch lift and I could barely turn, they rubbed going through holes, and I finally took them off because I moved away for college and I needed a better turning ride. I would go with 15X8's ecspecially with 33's. I trimmened the fenders alot, but it persisted. If I could do it all over I would go with some 15X8's

Thanks for the input so far guys. Forgot to mention that earlier about what type of tire I am using. I had plans to go with the 33X12.50 AT's. OPIE... that is alarming that you ran into that many problems with the 32X11.50's That is what we have run on a few of our 01 Dakotas with the 4.7 and had no problem with them. Rowdy... Thanks for the info on where they rubbed I was looking at mine earlier today and I have thought about splitting that inner fender liner thingy at the corners then putting in some kind of brace behind it and using self tapping screws to pull it back. Thus where the tight radius bends are would be more open. That might solve the inner fender problem. Keep the suggestions and experiences coming please. They are a great help.

I have an 02 CC with a 3" PA Body Lift and I'm running 33x12.5 ProComp Xterrians on 15x10 Eagle Alloy 589's - I had to do some trimming (see pictures below), but it was well worth it! I also cranked the torsion bars a little (not much) and I still have a "factory" ride.

Yeah, I know, but I forgot to mention that I never atempted to crank my torsion bars, and maybe the extra weight of the 5.9 under the hood has some affect on it. Now I have the stock 15X8's o with the 32's and the still rub on bumps. But it just started happening after I had the passenger side upper ball joint replaced and the truck re-aligned. If I would have gone with the 33 xterrains that I wanted I would be screwed.

Opie, thanks again for the info man i just test fit a set of 32s yesterday with no lift and they cleared fine even in reverse. I did notice that i got a little rub on a curb hopping trip on the bumper. I think with the 3" lift i should clear 33s just fine. Brad ... Man those pics are awsome. thanks for posting em. I am going to go with the 117 wheels and i think the AT tires because i do a lot of on the road driving. I will try to post some pics or at least give an update on how it is going... Thanks again
