Message: I know that some of you guys have done it. I was just wondering what problems did you have with the shifter. extend? bend? or whatever else you had to do...I have read a lot of the other post and they have been helpful but i havent reallly heard what exact problems you guys with a stick have had with the tranny if any, any imput would be greatly apperiated. I did read that someone couldnt get it out of 1st or something, but cant find that post again...thx

Message: I extended it 3 inches with a piece supplied by Perf Acc (did not come in the kit at the time).
Then bent it forward because it was still hitting the place plastic piece that holds the bottom of the shifter boot. This caused it to hit the dash if I shifted too hard into 1, 3, or 5. So later I bent it back some and trimmed .5 inch out of the bottom left corner of the plastic piece. Now it shifts like stock and I am happy.
Basically from what I have read, you will just have to play with it.

Message: i just finished my pa lift yesterday and did not touch the 5 speed. the only problem that i have is that you cannot shift into reverse 2nd or 4th if there is a drink in the cup holder. i actually kind of like it shorter though gives a little bit of a sport feel to it.
