Subject: 35" question. [Yes, another one... :) ]

I was wondering, if I were to get the prerunner fenders, with a 3" bigger opening and a 4" flare, would I be able to fit 35X12.50s with a 2" body lift and a 3" suspension lift? I have a 3" susp lift, and am running 32X11.50s with a slight rub at full lock/compression. Im thinking it would, but I just need some "support" :)

Well here's the website although nothing on the Dakota is on there, yet.... I'm hoping that they will put up a picture or 2 w/ a Dakota on it. Maybe they'll even put on a 3" lift and see if 35's fit w/ those fenders *hint hint*

Josh actually as soon as I see a picture & check w/ a local body shop to see how much it will be to paint it.. I'm ordering that ;-) I have to get ready if this Suspension lift from Tuff Country is true :-) I'm also working on my custom rear bumper and waiting for Road Armor to finish there front one. Heh then all I need is to win the lotto so I can get rid of this credit card statement *hurm.. you think I can claim that my credit card was stolen? :-)... what if I just stoped paying attention to those damn credit card statements?* j/k but seriously as soon as I see a few pictures of it, find out about painting, and how large of tires we can clear w/ the new flairs.. I'm ordering a set.

OK I am alittle behind. With these fiberglass fenders, can you run larger tires or only have more suspension travel? Are the wheel wells wider due to the fiberglass part or what? If they allow you to run larger tires, I will be hounding glassworks unlimited about making a set for my 1990 Dak. I want 33x12.50's. my 31's are not cutten it. Thanks yall.

The reason they alow you to run bigger tires isn't because they are fiberglass it's because they are larger (flaired 4" and raised 3") If your curious about the pictures Glass Works sent me a couple of there Dakota the url is. http://www.knobbyman.com/pictures.htm it's the white Dak @ the bottom

Knobbyman, thanks for the link. And the info. But I am still lacking in the fenders thing.
Say you have a newer Dak with the stock 31's. After you put the fiberglass fenders on the truck, what new tire size could you run? With the 4in flair and raised 3in could the dak run 33x12.50's or something like that?
Thanks for your patience. With the info and my bad spelling!

I cannot tell if you were asking about a 2 wheel drive or a 4 wheel drive truck in you last post. Four a late model 4 wheel drive Dakota you can run 33" tires without any lift.

Yeah, I was speaking of a 2wd truck. See my 1990 Dak is a 2wd. Just for a shot in the dark, I have a 2in susp lift and a 3in body lift. I can run 31x10.50's now. I only have clearence problems behind the front wheels. If I got these fiberglass fenders, could I run a 33x12.50? Thats what I want to run eventually. Notheing bigger due to my 3.9L low HP. Thanks for your help guys, I really hope I can do the same for you someday.

I should think so but I'd contact them first. Because the 4x4's run 31x10.50's normally and with the fenders we could run 33x12.50's So I would think the same is true for you but I would definatelly check with them before you order.
