hey i was wondering if anyone knows where the cheapest place to get a fabtech 3in lift for a 2000 dakota is? also where is the cheapest to get a PA body lift?

Im not for sure on that I would just check the previous posts and maybe someone has said something about price. Depending on where you live also means what could be cheaper. Since I live in texas it mioght be cheaper for me to buy something from 4 wheel parts online than at their retail store, or vise versa. Just check around but let me know because im in the same boat your in.

If there are enough owners wanting PA or Fabtech lifts I might be able to swing a low volume group deal. PLC normally sells the Fabtech 3" kit for $759 plus actual shipping - the PA kit depends on the Dakota.
Word to the wise... On some of the JC Whitney kits they are drop shipped and I've had customers complain that it can take weeks from the time of order to the actual delivery. JC Whitney is a great company but you might want to talk to a order rep to make sure the kit will show up in a reasonable amount of time.

I'm kinda wondering after lookin at that lift kit. It has lift blocks for the rear. Now if i'm correct, the 2wd's have leafs under the axle and we cannot use lift blocks. So what's up with that?

To be perfectly honest I installed a CST 3" Dakota kit on my own 2wd 2000 truck and didn't even touch the rear. The front sits about 1/2" higher than the rear and I like it that way. The money I saved on a rear add-a-leaf I put into an airbag system so that when I tow or haul I can level the truck and firm up the ride. If anyone wants pics of a 2000 2wd Dakota with a 3" front and 0" in the rear let me know.

The Fabtech kit uses leaf springs, not blocks.
For some reason they show blcoks in the pics
and they say its a "4 inch lift". The leafs only
add about 1.5 inches so it only levels out the
truck a little. JCWhitney worked great for me,
but you do need to watch out for delays. Mine
only took about a week for all my parts so it
wasn't too bad.
I like the airbag idea! I considered doing that
but I haven't seen any done on the dakotas,
yet. Hey Jeff, do you have a site or a link to any
pics of your truck?! I'd like to see them if so!!

Thats is why I am very poor, my tuition is killing me. Next installment is due in October 4. All i can do for now is dream about a Fabtech lift and new ES9000 shocks....

Hehe, there aint much to see. It doesnt get washed as much as I like b/c I live in a damn apartment and cant get a frickin water hose. Also, I just discovered Zaino and I think I will be ordering it soon, wish I could get it on soon, then i might have something to show off. I would be interested to see your Dak too. This weekend im going to be there around 6 on friday and probably leave sat after the game or sunday morning. Not sure yet. I just got my truck the sunday before school started so i havent had any cash to make mods either, but had time to go mudding and almost get stuck with my 2wd. Anyway email me and we can try to get together not this weekend, but the next because im not driving this weekend most likely.
