Subject: Rancho vs. Pro Comp IP: Logged
Message: What is the general conscensus on the battle between Rancho and Pro Comp shocks. I would love to have the Rancho 9000's but they cost a lot when you can get Pro Comp or Rancho 5000's a heck of a lot cheaper. I would like to have something good, but I was wondering if shocks followed the old prinicple of you get what you pay for, meaning that the Rancho 9000's are what you want to get if you want something good. Any help is appreciated and if you have either or then your opinions on how they run will be helpful too.

Message: The 9000's are adjustable that's why they cost so much more then the 5000's Both Rancho & Pro-Comp makes versions of those and I think they are actually both 9000's
I have the Rancho 9000's on my truck and I've very pleased. As soon as I get my truck re-aligned.. yes again. The adjustment has been very nice though. I've been able to fine tune my suspension. I'm still playing with it I'm not sure which I like the best yet. But the adjustment is why the cost jumps so much.
