Message: After the slight delay in plans having to fix the damage the idiot did by running my own motorcycle into my truck, I finally got my 3" P/A lift and 32X11.50 BFG A/T KOs with 15X8 AE 589s on. Pics are at http://photos.yahoo.com/boshelton. Let me know what you think!

Just remember 1996 when we took ya'll down. It is like the highlight of our school. They have statues and monuments dedicated to that victory. THe whole town went crazy. You could hear the chearing 2 miles away. They carried the goal post down one of the main streets over here. HeHe. We actually made ESPN news! The next year ya'll creamed us like 60-0.
I guess you go to A&M, what's your major?

Message: Thanks for the positive reviews. No Louisianadak--the driving lights move up with the bumper as long as you use the P/A bumper brackets. Good luck with your truck. I'm very happy with the way mine turned out. The only bad thing is that I took a new job with a 45 mile commute one way and with gas mileage the way it is my wife now has the truck! Oh well--she still lets me wash it for her.

Message: BigDakota, I got everything from 4WheelParts.com for $1,100. Thats the P/A 3" body lift, lift lips, wheels and tires. I priced a similar set up from a 4 wheel drive shop and their quote for installation included was $2,000. Shop around for the best deals and install the lift yourself--it's really pretty easy.

Message: Modak,
Looks awesome! You and this site have inspired and given me much needed info on lifting my '00 QC 4X4. I ordered the PA 3" lift on monday and should have it on by next weekend. $261 including the gap guards. I went to Les Schwabs yesterday and ordered some 32X11.50 AT's and 15X8 rims. $980. $1250 for the whole package. Not bad! What backspacing are you running? Any rubbing?
There are few other things I am going to do also. It is maroon with the cream/silver fender flares. I am going to paint them a dark graphite along with the lower portion of the sides and the plastic on both bumpers. Add a bug shield, screen grill inserts, and tint the front windows.
Thanks again for the pix.

Message: Doug, the backspacing on my wheels is 3.25. I do get some mild rubbing in reverse full steering lock. I need to put some spacers in the front bumper mount to raise it up another 3/4 inch to help that out some. Sounds like your truck will look awesome soon. Be sure to post pics so everyone can see!

Message: Modak, Is the 3.25 Backspacing on your wheels the stock or do you know, I'm thinking very seriously of going with the same setup you have for my 2000 Quad 4x4. Sound like you got a good deal considering you got the wheels tires lift and lift lips all

Message: Jeff, stock backspacing is 5.5 if I remember correctly--I figured that going with 32s would compensate some for using less backspacing and sticking the tires out further. Definately check with 4wheelparts--I just got an email notification that they are running the same deal as when I got mine--free shipping AND 10% off.
Craig--I installed my lift with the help of a friend--took about 5 hours all in all. No surprises or problems--like you, I was concerned with ride quality after lifting, but since suspension isn't changed at all, the only thing affecting ride would be your tire selection. I really wanted Xterrains, but mostly drive on road so figured they would be a little too aggressive for my use. I was also a little worried about steering linkage after reading some posts on the site, but have had absolutely no problems with that at all--my only regret was not being able to do it sooner.

Message: Modak, I have one more queston for you, Is your truck a auto or a 5 speed? It seems like that maybe most of the DAks I've read about here with the PA body lift have been 5 speeds and was wondering how much trouble it'd be to install with an auto trans? I'm just afraid of adjusting it because I don't want to get it all screwed up where it wouldn't go into gear or change gears good or anything like that. Thanks alot!

Message: Jeff, the auto transmission like mine is definately the easier of the two to work with regarding the body lift. P/A's directions are pretty thorough on this, but all you have to do is reroute the transmission cable to the back of the brake line bracket just to make sure it is out of the way of suspension parts. There's no adjusting or lengthening of the cable required--there is enough slack in the cable already. I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever.
