Message: there aren't any suspension lifts for the 2000+ that are worth a darn. I'm sure knobby will chime in and elaborate on that further. There are talks of rancho coming out with a 2.5" lift in november but that has been pushed back for the last year and a half. As of right now, about the only way your gonna get some altitude is with a body lift.

Message: Dishwalla , you keep forgetting you have a 2WD.
If , in fact the question was for a 2WD , then yes the Fabtec kit is a quality lift. If the original question is for a 4WD , born2steel21 is right.

Message: performance accessories is pretty much the body lift of choice around here...you can find them at 4wheelparts.com, central4wd.com, or numerous other online 4x4 and truck accessory retailers.

Message: Well the only 2 suspension lifts available for 2000+ Dakota 4x4's are CRAP! plain and simple they end up costing you way more then anyone in there right mind would want to spend.
The body lift for the 2000+ Dakotas part number is #PER60043 and like Born said available almost everywhere.
Amanda if you live anywhere near D/FW Texas I'm sure we could help you put it on at one of our meetings. Infact we're going to be replacing alot of stuff on my truck this Saturday.

Message: Knobby did you get a local DFW club going to help you fix your truck? You are smart! After all the problems you have had I would think you would have your own maint crew by now.
Keep up the good work bud!

Message: Why do you think I got this club together?
I'm sick of doing all the work.. If I can get them to think they are part of a "club" but really all they do is work on my truck... It's a win win situation for me ;-)
now if only I can get them to pay for the fixes ;-)
hehe.. well back to work :( just spent $600 on the parts I'm replacing on Saturday.

Message: I just heard but do not know if it is true but.
Are they changing the front suspension on the Dak's in 04? I heard that they were and that no one is going to support the 00 - 03 dakota's for lift's.
I am not in the market for a lift but thought that was interesting.
Could it be true. Heard it at 4wheel parts so it probably is not true but it was a customer that said it.

Message: I heard the same thing about a month ago. The 04's definately will be different and I'll almost guarantee that there will be no lifts for us. Oh well, doesn't matter, I have decided to get rid of this heap anyways. I'm going back to a ram. I would have never gotten this thing if I had known that there were no gears, lifts, or performance parts for us!

Message: Amanda, the cheapest place that i found for a body lift is summitracing.com they don't charge that much for shipping and they are a reputible company. If you want to know what tires you can run and what would look good, i suggest a set of 32x11.50x15's on 15x10 rims, just crank the torsion bars up front a little to raise the frontend a bit and they will clear just fine.
