I think your DAK needs a pat on the fender, and tell it sorry for not getting some altitude.
But just my opinion.
Body Lifts arn't for everyone.
Suspension lifts aren't for everyone.
Stock isn't for everyone.
And Lowered isn't for everyone.
That's why its called customizing. You do what YOU like.

Message: Humm $1200 for suspension or $150 for body lift.... Do I want to pay 8 times as much money to clear 33's.............................................................................................
NOPE!
Some may also say that lifted 2wd's are useless. Everyone has an opinion. It's my money and my truck and we are both happy.
BTW My Dak told me it loved the body lift because now it sits as high as fullsize trucks and has bigger tires than most of them!
Oh and another thing, I think most of the 2000+ guys would much rather have the body lift than have their truck raped by the TruckinSuspension nightmare. Poor Knobby and his truck were torn up for over a month.

Message: Yes but you are 2wd. 4wd's don't have many choices, especially 2000+ 4wds. Suspension lifts for 4wds start at $1200.
But remember that suspension lifts, even if you can afford them, have their limits as far as height. So for some guys, they have to have the bodylift also to clear realy big tires.

Message: I have a '98 Dak, with both lifts (Fabtech 3" suspension and a 3" PA body lift) and my Dak is very happy. Sorry for the 2000+ guys, but there's nothing wrong with a body lift if done right. By the way, for the 4x2 guys, does anyone have any opinions on coil spacer lift. Seems to me if you put a spacer (Problably home made) between the upper ball joint and the upper a-arm, along with a coil spacer like Daystar or energy suspension for the spring, this would resolve the spindle issue everyone is bitching about. This would have to be in conjuction with the 3" Fabtech kit. Just looking for opinions. Thanks, Greg

Message: Adding coil spacers will do nothint but stiffen this ride. This is if you already have the fabtech lift on....it won't do u any good cuz the upper arm can only go down so far before resting on the coil housing.

Message: i think i am gonna have to agree with that... there isnt much room between your rear wheel well and tire. I like the idea of fiberglass body parts but those would look much better with a prerunner bar instead of the grill guard... but thats just my opinion.

Message: all very good points. i would have done glass in the rear, but the don't make any. tomarrow it's going back to the fab shop to get the rear fenders expelled as much as possible, then i'm gonna make up the rest with some sort of fender flare. as for the prerunner grill guard, i wanted to get something i could really hit something with, but again, i like all of my parts to be functional, not beautiful.

Message: hey man. I like those fenders you are running. I think they look nice. But did they really help with your tire size? I have a 1990 2wd Dak. 2in suspension/3in body lift. I can barely get 31 x 10.50 to run without rubbin. I have seen people talk about these fenders but honestly, I dont see how they allow larger tire use. My clearence problems is behind the front tires hitten the cab support. What gives. Please explain to me.

Message: as for the clearance question..... picture the wheel well on your front fender...now imagine having absolutly nothing there, and then just something covering the top so that NOTHING is in the way ='s lots of space. the plastic wheel wells that dodge installed eats up lots of space. as for the rear....we were gonna expel the metal, but i decided that would look ugly after he told me what was to be done, so now on with the search for fiberglass rear fenders. and paint is on the way when some more money presents itself.

ok, lots of questions, lots of answers.
rear glass will be out DEC 1 by glassworks unlimited, the makers of the front glass. my truck almost became the experimental, but i couldn't make it up there in time and someone beat me to the punch. my wheels are American eagle 58's (part number 77858 at disount/american tires) and i'm running 33x1250x15 BFG mud terrains. i removed the grill guard and bumper due to clearance reasons while jumping. i got the glass painted and had my bed supports made, as well as installed my spare tire mount. if anyone wants pictures or other questions feel free to e-mail me, i'll send pictures too (they're about 1mb each).
happy trails to youuuuuuuu.......
