Subject: 2" body lift IP: Logged
Message: WHATS UP. I WANT TO PUT A 2" BODY LIFT ON MY TRUCK MYSELF. ITS A AUTO 96 4X4 EXT CAB WITH THE 3.9. I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY WELDING INVOLVED. IV READ THAT THERE ISNT ANY NEED ON THE NEWS TRUCKS. ANY INFO WOULD HELP. THANKS

Message: I put a 3 inch body lift on my friends 99 for him and the only welding that you will have to do is the 4x4 shifter on the floor.you have to have a 3 inch extension for it, some kits might come with it if not about anything will work as long as its weldable and is the same size as the original stick. but thats the only weldin we did to his other than that it was a breeze, but i've also put one on my old truck its a ranger and a manual, both shifters were tall enough that i didn't weld an extension, this may be your case since its only a 2 inch body lift. i'm not sure. good luck

Message: actually i put one on my 95 adn you need to weld the gear shifter not the 4wd shifter but it wasnt hard to do
