Message: You can get a longer set of springs for $120 instead of the spacer.

Message: Chris is right...you should probably just buy new springs. Or if you can spring for it, buy the Fabtech 2WD kit. Then you will get a full 3" of lift out for your front end with better off-road performance.
I'm not sure what Fabtech provides for the rear with the kit...but if you wanted to add a leaf you could...but don't have too.
If you still want to do the spacer...you don't have to add a leaf...the spacer or coils will level out the stance...so adding a leaf will only offset the stance again.
And if you add a leaf be prepared for a stiffer ride in the rear...of course if you get any kind of suspension altering lift for your truck the ride will most likely be stiffened.
I'm almost positive that when you buy the fabtech lift it comes with a 1.5" lift for the rear to try and make everything perfect...but i'm not entirely sure.
Hope that helps and covers everything.

Message: Darrell, I installed a set of 2" coil spacers from Daystar in my 97 2wd. For some reason, no clue what, I actually acheived 3" in the front. This caused my front to be 1" higher than the rear of my truck. To fix this I had to buy a set of 2" longer shackles for the rear of the leaf springs and since I only touched the rear, I only gained 1" of rear lift. It was enough to level out my truck though. Moral of the story, be prepared for the possibility of lifting the rear also, that is unless you like the leap-frog look.

Message: with the 3in body and 3in fabtech, you can go as big as 33s with minor trimming. i do not think you will need shackles because i think the fabtech kit includes an add a leaf.
i am thinkin about goin with the fabtech 3in kit as well. anyone know where to get the kit for the least amount of money?
oh yea, i know of 2 poeple that have that same set up (3body/3suspension) with added 2in coil spacers. total of 8inches up front. many say that will not work but these 2 guys have done it so i might do the same.

Message: you just need to worry about the back spacings. the fabtech kit requires no more that 3.5 of backspacing, the stock wheels have 5.5in of backspacing. you can either go with new rims or buy 2in wheel spacers to keep your stock rims. i personly love the way my stock 2000 rims look so i will be getting the wheel spacers.

Message: Do you need to drop the lower control arm to install the coil spacers? Or can you compress the spring and disconnect the shock at the upper mount and push the spacer into position?
Thanks

Message: Ryan, I may be mistaken, but I do believe your truck has torsion bars in the front. Sorry, but coil springs won't work with your truck. If you want to lift the front-you will have to crank the torsion bars some more. As far as rear end goes, I got a set of extended shackle hangers from the dreaded truckin suspension(aim) and have had no problems with them, that way your ride won't suffer, at least in the rear of the truck. Hope this helps.
