Message: Hello All,
I just got back from a nice getaway in the yosemite area and did a ton of roading. I drove through a nice creek while i was there and now my horn sounds like something off of a clown car. Any ideas if I can solve this myself? The water came up over the hood but not enough to flood the engine. Just to screw up my horn. Tahnks guys,
Bob

Message: check your actual horn under the hood, it may might have a stick or some mud lodged in it, if not your guess is as good as mine!

Message: Try taking the horn off and shaking out the water. I had this happen on a car that I had an alarm on it when I hit a big puddle of water. I shook it out but it still sounded wierd for a few days till it dried out. After it was back to normal, I zip-tied a plastic bag over the horn to keep the water out. Visit your friendly salvage yard for a spare/addition. :)

Message: LOL my hornes are caked w/ mud I had to use a screwdriver to get most of it out.. then I flushed the rest out w/ a garden hose and turned the horn around to get the extra water out. Sounds almost new now... But still weak.

Message: MrBOB IF YOU HAD WATER OVER YOUR HOOD YOU MIGHT WANT TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR FLUIDS BEFORE YOU FIX THAT HORN.
