 Subject: Rim/Tire Combo w/ 3" body lift

Ok ok, I decided im going to get the Performance Accessories 3" body lift. But now im down to the Rim and Tires to get. I wont mind EVERYONES opinions about which tires and rims to get. Is it possible to run 33s on a 2000 4X4 w/ 3" BL WITHOUT ANY rubbing or with doing MINOR Trim cutting??? I really dont want to deal with the Rubbing so When u post a suggestion, can u please give the dimensions of the RIms and Tires?? Also, if u do suggest a Rim, can u please post a LINK and/or a PIC of it?? Im not a big fan of Chrome 4X4 Rims, however they do look pretty nice. And as for Tires go, The most Off roading terrain i will see will mostly be Sand, pea gravel and minor mud pits. So most of the driving will be on Pavement. Im thinking Either the BFG A/Ts or the M/Ts. But again, im OPEN to EVERYONES opinions, so post away...

Will leave most of it to the experts, but as for tires, based on the terrain you mentioned, I would suggest BFG AT's, Pro Comp AT's, or Goodyear AT/S. Of the three, the BFG's will do the best in mud. If you are going to see lots of on road time and the terrain you mentioned off road, these 3 tires will last longer and give you better performance than a more aggressive mud tire. Stick with a 15x8 rim for size. Sorry, no links as for brands.

Just put 16 X 8 Centerline Galaxy rims w/BFG All-Terrain P275/70R16 tires on my 2000 CC 4X4. They look great.

i'm running 285/75/16's on my truck. there's no rubbing just around town but i think with heavy articulation their might be. i'm plaing on a 1" add a leaf and cranking the torsion bars.

I should have pics up on yahoo next week. I should have mentioned, I'm running that with torsion bars cranked only. With 3" body lift, you can go up to the 285/75 size. You just have to watch the backspacing on the rims you pick. Mine are the same 5.5" as factory. The smaller your backspacing, the more likely the RUB.

You can put 15x10 Eagle Alloy 589 Series rims (3.62" backspacing), but you will have to trim

with 33x12.5 tires (I went with the Pro Comp XTerrains - so far, so good) - Not much highway noise at all, good on types of terrain, aggressive tread pattern, not wearing bad at all
You can go with 15x8 and you wouldn't have to trim at all though. To me, it was well worth the trimming!!!

Hey Brad.. Do u have a GST also?? I have 2 friends with 1st Gen low 13 GSX`s.... Those cars are a blast to drive.

No, used too (about 2 years ago), don't have the GST anymore.
The pics of the trimming were listed above. I would be glad to give you details of cutting if you need them.

4G63!!!! GREAT MOTOR!!.... my friend has a red 91 GSX w/ Stock Turbo and 130K miles on it and it he runs a 13.2 1/4!!... It was also on a hot sunny day!!... My other friend with a Blue 91 GSX just got his New turbo yesturday, probly install it today after work!!!.
