Message: What I don’t understand is he claims it was built by Dodge to show at the Mopar Nationals and it has Ford Axles. Why wouldn’t they use Dodge Axles or have custom ones built? You would think Dodge wanted to show off their own stuff.

Message: Well...from what I've heard...the Ford 9 inch rear end is supposed to be one of the best axle's ever to be designed...thats what I've heard. I'm told that thats the best thing to ever come out of the Ford Motor company.

Message: I agree the Ford 9" is a near bullet proof unit, but that still doesn't explain why "DODGE" would build a custom show truck for the "Mopar Nationals" and use Ford axles. The truck has a Dana 44 in the front and a 9" in the rear. It's pretty obvious that they swiped the axles from an older Bronco or F150. The truck does appear to be very well put together, I just don’t buy the statement that it was put together by Dodge. You would think that Dodge would use their own axles or have custom ones built for the factory Dodge show truck.

Message: i agree with you walt, i don't think dodge built it.
it is a sweet truck but if you think you can build your '00 into it for $14k i think you are mistaken. how much was your truck to begin with?
